President & Co-founder - Megan McLaughlin
Megan McLaughlin spent six years as an Admissions Officer at Georgetown University and was also an Admissions Reader for Duke University. In Fairfax County, she has served as a PTA President, Vice President and Executive Board Member, 2003 Braddock District Representative to the Fairfax County School Bond committee, Woodson High School's RENEW Committee (to renovate Woodson HS), and NVSL Swim Team Representative. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland.
Vice President & Co-founder - Marcy Newberger
Marcy Newberger has a degree in psychology from the University of Maryland and a Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities from American University. She has been a Fairfax County teacher, private tutor, preschool teacher and has led major PTA fundraising efforts at Haycock Elementary in Fairfax County to the tune of over 100K in five years.
Vice President & Co-founder - Louise Epstein
Louise Epstein is a Harvard College and Harvard Law School Graduate. Louise practiced law for 15 years, has been on the executive boards of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and is currently the president of the Fairfax County Association for the Gifted, the president of TJ Academic Boosters, and a member of the Fairfax County Public Schools Gifted and Talented Advisory Committee.
Co-founder & Research Consultant - Sara Pacque'-Margolis
Sara Pacque'-Margolis earned her undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT and graduate degrees in demography and public health from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. She previously lived in Africa and has spent 25 years traveling there for work and pleasure. Sara is currently the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation for The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation in Washington, DC.
Researcher & Secretary - Sara Schneider
Sara Schneider earned her engineering undergraduate degree from Iowa State University and law degree from George Washington University. Sara was a Contract Negotiator in IBM's Federal Systems Company working with both defense and civil agencies, including the Department of Education. As the parent of two children in FCPS schools, she has supported early reading programs and FIRST Lego League Robotics teams. This year, Sara spearheaded the successful nomination of FCPS employee, Tom Reinsel, for the 2008 FCPS Support Employee of the Year Award.
Campaign Manager & Communications Strategy - Catherine Lorenze
Catherine Lorenze is a veteran commercial producer and communications strategist whose credits include the Miami Heat Basketball Team, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, three U.S. presidential races and numerous gubernatorial and senate campaigns. A Central Michigan University undergraduate, Catherine is also a former radio network news producer and published author. Two of her three children attend FCPS elementary schools where Catherine is an active, classroom volunteer.
